Watch the package, not the price

AI vendors rarely move a published price. A $20 plan tends to stay a $20 plan. What moves is what the $20 buys: the message cap, the credits included, which models you get, whether heavy use is metered on top. Those changes are easy to miss and they decide what you actually pay.

That is why this tracker records the entitlements behind every plan, not only the headline number. A change log entry of "Package changed" means the price stayed the same while the contents did not.

For finance and RevOps teams the same pattern shows up on both sides of the ledger. On the cost side, AI seats and API spend drift without a price change. On the revenue side, if you sell AI features yourself, seats plus credits, per-outcome fees, and usage tiers all need a billing system that can meter, invoice, and recognize them correctly.

Frequently asked questions

How often is this pricing data updated?

Every tracked pricing page is fetched once a day. If the page text changed, the plans are re-extracted and compared with the last published version. Each product shows the date its pricing was last verified against the live page.

Why track what a plan includes, not just the price?

Most AI pricing changes do not touch the headline price. Vendors change the credits, usage limits, models, or metering behind the same number: GitHub Copilot kept its tier prices while moving to metered premium requests, and Google folded Gemini into Workspace plans instead of selling it separately. A price-only tracker misses those.

Where does the data come from?

Only from each vendor's public pricing page, linked on every product page. The page text is extracted into structured plans by an AI model. Large or unusual changes (a price moving more than 50%, plans disappearing, a different currency) are held for human review before they are published. History from January 2026 until daily tracking started is reconstructed from monthly Internet Archive (Wayback Machine) captures of the same pages.

Are these prices in USD?

Yes. Prices are the US list prices shown on public pricing pages, before taxes, negotiated discounts, or regional pricing. Enterprise plans that say "Contact sales" have no public number.

Why does a billing tool matter next to AI products?

Every AI vendor on this list is also a pricing-model case study: seats plus credits, per-outcome fees, usage tiers. Billing platforms like Stripe Billing, Chargebee, and Maxio are what companies use to run those models, and their own pricing moves with billing volume.
